The tragedies that shaped Sarah Losh's life also caused her to shape a memorial masterpiece.  A visit to St Mary's church in Wreay reveals why she was called the Charlotte Bronte of wood and stone.  There can be little doubt that her extraordinary creations inspired Ruskin and Rosetti's Arts and Crafts movement.
